The landmark Bermuda Principles was established in 1996 laying the foundation for open genomic data sharing. BP30 celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Bermuda Principles whilst revisiting its legacy in the context of today’s evolving scientific, ethical, and geopolitical landscape. Bringing together global experts, we will explore the intersection of data privacy, data sovereignty, biodiversity, and national data linkage, addressing the critical balance between openness and intellectual property. Discussions will delve into justice in genomics, ensuring equitable access and representation of diversity, and the translational impact of data sharing on healthcare and innovation. As genomic research continues to shape medicine, policy, and society, this event will chart the future of responsible, inclusive, and effective data sharing.
